HELP LOCAL SENIORS REMAIN IN THEIR OWN HOMES SAFELY

Every year, 1 in 3 seniors aged 65 years and older are likely to fall at least once.  For many, these falls can have serious consequences: fractured hips, hospitalizations, and the loss of their independence.

But the worst health outcomes are often experienced by seniors who fall and are unable to call for help, ending up stuck on the floor for hours hoping someone will find them in time.

Join with Eldercare to protect low-income seniors in need

Eldercare’s SAFE Lifeline program raises funds to provide home medical alarm systems to low-income seniors living independently with a high risk of falls or hospitalization.  The alarm services – provided by Lifeline Canada – can give them the confidence and security they need to continue living safely at home, and to delay or avoid transfer into long-term care.

How you can help:

  1. Are you considering a home medical alarm service for yourself or someone you love? When you purchase through Lifeline Canada, a portion of your purchase will help provide services to another senior who can’t afford them.  Simply call Lifeline Canada at 1-866-457-8987 to find out more about their products and services.
  2. Make a donation: a gift of just $62 helps provide a month of medical alarm coverage for a senior in need ($250 for 4 months). Donate today!
“I’m so happy to have been able to qualify for funding for SAFE Lifeline. Hopefully anyone who needs it should qualify. This really takes the fear out of living alone. Staying in my own home is important to me.”
